Hey, have been looking on Yahoo for that topic and took some hours to finally find a blog that provides the needed infos – and that not in boring way, quite opposite. Forgot some extra information. I used your solution to solve a problem while connecting a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. To play safe I copied all USB????.inf files to c:\windows\INF.

None of the files in my usbstore.inf folder sadly have a .inf extension. I tried moving the usbstor to my .inf folder, but that didn’t help, and then I tried adding “.inf” to the name of the file (the image was the same as the .inf, it just said “usbstor” without any extension) and that didn’t work.

My most recent usbstor folder is dated 2009 so maybe this is why.
